Limited licensees can play an important role in providing access to legal services in under-serviced geographic and practice areas. While working together in a firm setting, lawyers and limited licensees can focus their time to effectively deliver legal services within their practice areas. This practical one-hour webinar will explore how Saskatchewan law practices can benefit from effectively incorporating limited licensees into areas such as wills and estates, corporate services, real estate and Small Claims matters.
The presenters will discuss how limited licensees can complement busy lawyers, increase the viability of both core urban and rural practices, and reach clients who may be hesitant, unable financially, or simply unwilling, to engage a lawyer. Drawing on experience from different practice settings, the session will consider potential service-delivery models, appropriate delegation and supervision, workflow design, professional responsibilities, and the practical limits of the limited-licensee role as well as the financial benefits.
The webinar will invite lawyers to consider limited licensees not merely as additional colleagues, but as part of a broader strategy for improving access to justice, serving underserved communities and building more profitable law practices.
